COFFEE NIVY café is located in a place that is a transfer point of the NIVY bus station, where people from various cities or countries meet and mingle. The café itself offers a great variety of coffee from different parts of the world. This results in the idea of creating a pleasant space connecting coffee lovers, who are all different but like to stop for a moment and enjoy their drink.
We continued with the idea of diversity when choosing colors and materials. Our aim was to design a space that looks luxurious but at the same time friendly without any affectation. We chose a combination of cooler and warmer colors and surfaces. The connection of two main colors used in the interior - pink and blue, represent both feminine and masculine side. The velvet and brass elements add a luxurious touch to the café. However, in our point of view the luxury itself doesn’t lie in the use of shiny surfaces only. We put emphasis on the natural elements which add to the café’s exclusivity by their naturalness and sustainability. The interior doesn’t lack plants which are not just an accessory but a significant part of the whole space.
The background wall as well as the wall over the bar is an example of natural surfaces used. This wall is designed from HPL boards with a special surface made of real pressed coffee beans. In addition to the visual effect it also affects customer’s other senses with its scent and structure.
